An Edinburgh made prie-dieu chair, the walnut framed chair of typical shape and style with a carved cresting rail, the T shaped back with foliate carving on the sides, the seat, back and top rail all covered in hand stitched needle point with close back studding, the back legs are turned and slightly out swept and front legs are turned, fluted and flared finishing with stylish brass castors, the underside has three stamps including the design number and ‘R Whytock & Co. Edinburgh’.
