I did know there were so many things I needed to know and so many steps I needed to take. I ordered the wrong charcoal last time. Once I understood what I needed, I ordered the Trimex Irfaz Coco-Zeal Natural Charcoal Tablets – Cube.Out of the box you receive 120 well packed, flat charcoal cubes, made of 100% natural coconut shells, with no chemicals or additives. All of the cubes arrived in one piece and are considered Grade A. Once lit, they have low ash, no odor, hold their shape and integrity, and burn with consistent heat for approximately 60 – 90 minutes. You can use them for shisha, hookah, bakhoor (burning incense), or bar-b-que, but it wouldn’t really be cost effective to use it for bar-b-que, as each cube measure only 0.984 inch by 0.984 inch by 0.984 inch.That said, you will need something to light them with. Again, new to the hookah ownership and had no clue I couldn’t just light them with a lighter like I do the round charcoal I use for incense. Some of the videos I watched suggested you light them with a torch, light them with a “burner”, or lay the cubes on the coils of your electric stove until they start burning. I do not have a torch or a burner, so I tried the stove. This worked fine, did not smoke, nor did it leave any residue on the burner.Overall, once lit, the Trimex Irfaz Coco-Zeal Natural Charcoal Tablets – Cube burned very hot for a long time, held their shape and integrity, did not add a taste or smell to the shisha, nor did they smoke. They are a challenge to light, but once lit, they do the job well. Five stars.
