Just came back from fishing the flats at Steinhatchee, Fl. Fished the 4″ Gulp shrimp in pearl/chartreuse…. caught over 100 trout, some reds to 23″, mackerel and a bluefish. We fish a Cajun Thunder orange popper with 24″ more or less of 20# Seaguar fluro and a 1/8 oz, 4/0 Owner hook pink jig… once a trout gets it in its mouth, it is hooked! It just doesn’t get any better for fishing on the grass flats. I have had very good success with this Gulp on just a 1/4 oz jig for flounder. Hard to keep the ladyfish and lizard fish off the hook, and puffers are death on a Gulp.
